Summer Exclusive (Goolwa Beach)

Goolwa Beach, located approximately 90 kilometres south of Adelaide, is a premier summer destination renowned for its pristine sands and vibrant coastal activities. Among the most cherished traditions is cockle picking, locally known as "pipi" harvesting. These small, edible molluscs are abundant along the shoreline and have been a staple for both recreational fishers and culinary enthusiasts.

The pipi season in South Australia runs annually from November 1 to May 31, allowing enthusiasts to collect these delicacies during the warmer months. It's essential to be aware of regulations: a seasonal closure prohibits pipi collection from June 1 to October 31 to ensure sustainable harvesting.
